The newly inducted Ishan Kishan came out with the intent to destroy the Rajasthan Bowlers from the start. He smashed his first century in 45 balls for his new franchise at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. After the early dismissal of Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Ishan Kishan did not hesitate to switch gears while playing and continued to demonstrate their prowess as batters who would prove out to be the game changer for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Travis Head also did not leave behind and scored 67 runs off 31 balls when he was eventually dismissed by Tushar Deshpande. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ishan Kishan continued their destructive batting. He reached his half century with a six and was in a lot more control. He raised the bat towards the crowd and blew a flying kiss towards someone in the stands. He was part of the Mumbai Indians franchise Since 2018 but was released this year and Sunrisers saw this as an opportunity to acquire the young left hander. Kishan landed in SRH for 11.25 crores. He was impressive in the intra-squad matches as well.
