8th IPL Ton For Kohli
Ending with his joint-highest score of 113*, Kohli scored this season’s 1st IPL hundred on the night. His century came in just 67 deliveries, in which he scored 4 sixes and 9 fours on the night. With batters being dismissed at the other end, Kohli continued his innings with vigour and took the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on course to a healthy total in the end.
9th T20 Hundred
King Kohli scored his 9th T20 hundred and is looking in prime form in the shortest format of the game. If there was any doubt in the mind of either the selectors or pundits about his place in this year’s T20 World Cup, it would surely have subsided by now. Kohli single-handedly took RCB to a healthy total on the night where other batters failed to make it count against an in-form Rajasthan side.
Having struggled against Rajasthan in the past, the 35-year-old unleashed his inner beast to score his first century against Rajasthan and increased his lead at the top of the orange cap leaderboard even further.
Losing skipper Faf du Plessis in the 14th over, Kohli took it upon himself to steer RCB through their innings and continued to showcase his power hitting all over the ground to take RCB to 183/3 in their 20 overs.
