Rajat Patidar chose Rajasthan Royals to begin their batting innings during the match toss. Yashasvi Jaiswal demonstrated mature batting by scoring 75 runs as he led Rajasthan Royals’ batting performance through RCB’s home advantage and their controlled bowling approach. Dhruv Jurel entered the match with a late hitting display to increase the team total to 173/4. Both Virat Kohli and RCB failed to catch two loose opportunities during the game. The bowling performance from RCB kept RR players under control through the main part of the innings.
Second Innings: Salt-Kohli Show Dismantles RR Attack
The team of RCB started their batting progression with total offensive intent. The opening overs of RCB’s batting display under Phil Salt’s 33-ball 65 performance generated 65 runs during the powerplay period as he contributed 46 of those runs. When Salt joined Kohli at the opening position they smashed 94 runs in a partnership which left Rajasthan Royals completely routed. As Kartikeya removed Salt Kohli took over the batting responsibility and guided RCB to victory while Padikkal ended the match alongside him without being dismissed. The target of 168 became easy for RCB when their batters scored 168 runs with just one wicket loss during their 17-over innings. This comfortable finish resulted in a 9-wicket victory.
