‘Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day’, Yuvraj Singh Commends India Batter On Star-Studded Performance

India and Zimbabwe are engaged in a 5-match T20 cricket series. After suffering an embarrassing defeat in the first match, India bounced back in the second match with a commanding 100-run victory, thanks largely to opening batter Abhishek Sharma, who scored 100 runs off 47 balls. Yuvraj Singh was one of the persons to congratulate Abhishek who has got a lot of guidance from his senior player over the years.

Yuvraj Singh Full Of Praise For Abhishek Sharma

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh praised Abhishek Sharma’s performance, sharing a video on his X account highlighting Abhishek’s dedication and hard work. In the video, Yuvraj congratulated Abhishek on his first century, encouraging him to continue progressing, and captioned it with “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”

Following the match, Abhishek spoke with his family via video call and then called Yuvraj Singh, who expressed pride in Abhishek’s performance and encouraged him to keep playing well.

Interestingly, Abhishek revealed that Yuvraj was happy even when he got out for zero in the first match, suggesting it was a good start. Abhishek believes Yuvraj is now proud of his performance in the second match, just like his family, who have supported him both on and off the field.

Abhishek considers Yuvraj his mentor, training under his guidance. He had also impressed in the IPL, where Yuvraj was praised for nurturing future talent.
