WWE Legend At 40: Roman Reigns’ Struggles And Success Before Wrestling Fame

Roman Reigns has enjoyed a successful time within WWE. Nevertheless, he has put a lot of effort into getting here. He has had to overcome many obstacles during his years.

Roman Reigns doesn’t need to depend on people recognising his name in professional wrestling anymore. He has proved his talent by reaching the top worldwide. Over these past five years, he has made incredible strides. He has won over every fan out there. Starting in 2020, his approach to football has been completely different. Paul Heyman followed him into the company and he was the champion for more than three years. Roman Reigns came into the world on May 25, 1985. Today, Reigns is celebrating his 40th birthday. He has made many successes in WWE. Now, he cannot improve his position any further. The company will certainly induct Reigns into the Hall of Fame one day. Roman is now making appearances in Hollywood. He is still building a bigger place for himself in that industry.

How Did Roman Reigns Earn A Living Before Joining WWE?

Roman Reigns has faced plenty of battles in his personal life. Roman had leukaemia, a cancer of the blood, in 2007 and it returned about ten years later in 2018. Right now, he is well but has some challenges to manage. December 2018 was a tough time for him. Even so, he returned to WWE just a few weeks later. Before he became a wrestler, Roman Reigns dreamed of making it as a football player. Yet, because of his health, he had to retire from football. Afterward, Reigns wanted to make some money to help his family. He took on jobs at a furniture house. Reigns previously worked at a furniture shop for a full year. He brought furniture to several offices and organised them as needed. Just a few years back, he talked about this in an interview.

What Has Roman Reigns’ Journey In WWE Looked Like Over The Years?

Roman Reigns has had a remarkable time in the WWE. He is recognised as one of the best in the world of professional wrestling. Reigns’ run with the title lasted 1,316 days, the fourth-longest for the WWE World Championship. No period this long has been seen since 1988. Reigns joined WWE in 2010, but his main roster debut wasn’t until 2012.

From 2014 until 2020, Reigns presented himself as a face in WWE. In this era, he was WWE Champion three times. In addition, he earned the Universal, Intercontinental and US Championships just one time each. In 2015, he won the Men’s Royal Rumble match as well. Between 2020 and 2024, Reigns adopted the role of a heel. During that run, The Game claimed both titles which were later joined under one banner as the Undisputed WWE Championship. Roman’s reign was brought to an end by Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL last year. So far, Roman Reigns has taken part in 10 main matches at WrestleMania.
