Team India skipper Rohit Sharma is expected to join the Indian camp in Australia very soon for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. As per a report by Cricbuzz, Rohit is expected to join the team in Perth on November 24. Sharma’s departure to Australia was delayed due to the birth of his second child. The India national cricket team left for Australia in three batches between November 10 and 11. Sharma was blessed with a baby boy on November 15 and since then there were multiple speculations regarding him joining the Indian team in Australia.

The report further adds that, there were many reports which claimed that the Rohit Sharma could have joined the Indian team very much earlier than the first Test, however, he can delay his journey. The Indian team will be led by Jasprit Bumrah in the absence of Rohit Sharma. The Indian team recently suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of New Zealand in the three-match Test series and now they need to bring in their best game ahead to make a comeback and come up victorious against Australia as well.

On the other hand, the Aussies are always deadly at home and never any team to win easily on their own soil. The Aussies will look forward on maintaining the level of performance for which they are known for and defeat the Indian team. However, Team India also have all the resources which are needed to create history. The likes of Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will certainly strengthen the batting lineup whereas the Indian team has a young bowling attack which will be led by Jasprit Bumrah itself.
