Speculation has arisen suggesting that Rohit might be contemplating a departure from MI ahead of the IPL 2025 season. While these rumors are premature, there are indications that the Lucknow Super Giants are eyeing the possibility of acquiring the services of the Indian national team captain.

LSG interested in Rohit’s signature

In a video posted on their YouTube channel, the Lucknow Super Giants were seen discussing the prospect of pursuing Rohit Sharma in the IPL 2025 mega auction. During the conversation, LSG coach Justin Langer was asked which player he would choose to sign if given the opportunity.

Rohit Sharma joined the Mumbai Indians for the first time in the IPL 2011 season. Throughout his 13 seasons with the franchise, Rohit has played a pivotal role in securing five IPL titles for MI, captaining the team to victory in all of them.
