Rohit Sharma: The three-match Test series against New Zealand, for which India had been waiting with bated breath since the start of the year. All this is set to see a determined Rohit Sharma climb up the pedestal with a bat. Test debutant after an excellent test performance against Bangladesh adopted an attack-friendly approach in Test cricket, which acted as a significant change for Team India. He now hopes to take this success into the Kiwi series.
On A Verge To Create A History
Rohit Sharma is all set to leave a record in all formats wherein he would be consistently enforcing scores of boundaries. He started his innings against Bangladesh with back-to-back sixes and if he maintains the same aggression against New Zealand, he would write his name in cricketing history.
To do that, Rohit would require 13 more sixes to ensure achieving a century of sixes in Test cricket. In this aspect, if he can do that, he will be the first Indian batsman to achieve that and those who have done it include Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli. Besides that, Rohit is close to breaking Virender Sehwag’s 91 sixes record as he needs five sixes for that. Less than a handful of players across the globe have achieved that, and they include Ben Stokes, Brendon McCullum, and Adam Gilchrist.
