Rishabh pant surgery: India According to sources, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant underwent successful knee surgery at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute.

According to sources, the surgery was performed on Friday, and the cricketer is now under the care of a medical staff and healing quickly. Pant was airlifted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute on Wednesday from Dehradun’s Max Hospital, where he had been hospitalised after a car accident on December 30.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a statement on Wednesday stating that the wicketkeeper-batsman will undergo surgery and following operations for ligament tears and will be watched by the BCCI’s medical team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation.

“Rishabh will undergo surgery and additional operations for ligament tears, and will be watched by the BCCI Medical Team throughout his recuperation and rehabilitation,” the BCCI stated in a statement.

“The Board will make every effort to facilitate and expedite Rishabh’s recovery process and will offer him with all the support he requires throughout this period,” according to the statement.

Pant, who was driving alone from Delhi to Roorkee, apparently fell asleep at the wheel. His car collided with the divider on Roorkee’s Narsan border near Hammadpur Jhal. The cricketer escaped the near-fatal accident with burns and other injuries that will necessitate plastic surgery.

According to the BCCI, the cricketer received two cuts on his forehead, as well as a ligament tear in his right knee, ankle, toe, and back.
