Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has been injured in the nets when he took a blow to his left knee. He was standing just beside the nets where Hardik Pandya was practicing with the bat and when the right-hander smashed the ball, it hit Rishabh Pant on the left knee. Although medical attention was instantly provided to the left hander, he was seen in a lot of pain.

Pant was seriously injured during his car accident and his knee suffered some serious injuries and when the ice pack was applied to his knee he was seen groaning in pain. Earlier also Coach Gautam Gambhir indicated that Pant might not be the first choice as a wicketkeeper for this year’s Champions Trophy.

“KL is our No 1 wicketkeeper, and this is what I can say at the moment. Rishabh Pant will get his chance, but at the moment, it is KL who has done well, and we cannot play two wicketkeeper-batters,” Gambhir told media at the series-ending press conference.
He was later seen in the nets also but was not comfortable with the bat. India held their first training session on Sunday ahead of the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. Rohit Sharma and co will begin their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 at the Dubai International Stadium.
