“The DPL is doing extremely well at nurturing young talent, and a large part of the credit goes to Mr. Rohan Jaitley and the DDCA for organizing the league in the best possible manner. Players like Digvesh Rathi and Priyansh Arya have actually made a name for themselves here,” opined Pant.

“It is home for me, Purani Dilli 6. The passion, the hunger to win, the fans – it cannot be beat. We had a decent campaign last year, but we are coming back this season hungrier and stronger.”

DPL Grows to Eight Teams for 2025 Season

In a major development, the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has finally announced the addition of two new men’s teams for the upcoming season: Outer Delhi and New Delhi. This addition takes the DPL from six to eight franchises, a clear sign of the league’s growing popularity and competitiveness.

The player auctions will take place in New Delhi on July 6 (Men) and July 7 (Women), reinforcing DPL’s resolve to accelerating men’s and women’s cricket. The matches will once more be held at the legendary Arun Jaitley Stadium, with the full schedule set to be confirmed after the auctions.

As the hype keeps building, the audience can look forward to an even more action-packed Season 2 of the DPL- with fresh faces, the returnees, and now, more teams aiming for the title.
