Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja share a long history of playing for India as well as for the same IPL franchise. But a recent statement by Ravindra Jadeja on Ashwin’s Retirement has sparked many theories about their relationship. He said,

Although this statement by Jadeja reveals something quite characteristic about R Ashwin’s personality and style, it has managed to create speculations about their their relationship off ground. Some may consider that Ashwin’s omission from his farewell match at the Gabba and Jadeja replacing Ashwin for the same match has created a rift between them both. Jadeja’s comment suggests that Ashwin kept his retirement decision completely private until the very last moment, even though they spent the whole day together. The “(smiles)” and “We all know how Ashwin’s mind works” hint at Ashwin’s well-known reputation for being methodical, private, and someone who thinks deeply about his decisions.
