Birla has appeared in 16 innings and has a batting average of 27.60 with 414 runs before entering the business arena. He has a score of 103* which he score helped Madhya Pradesh get one point against Bengal in the Ranji Trophy back in 2018. He was part of Rajasthan Royals, the IPL team for two seasons in 2018,2019. He has been through a number of injury setbacks which resulted him quitting the professional cricket world for good.
