Fans were eager to see Hazlewood back at RCB. However, Captain Jitesh Sharma shared during the toss that the Australian won’t play. Jitesh added that Hazlewood is likely to be in the playing eleven for RCB’s next match. A week ago, during IPL’s suspension, the RCB quick traveled back home to look after a shoulder injury and returned to the team on Sunday. So far, Ricky has sat out three matches, with one game being simply washed out, and his last played in Delhi a week earlier.
As the Royal Challengers are through to the Playoffs, they will try to finish in the top two in the Points Table. A win by RCB means Qualifier 1 against Punjab Kings on May 29, but if they lose, they’ll play Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator on May 30. Matches will happen in New Chandigarh for both games.
