The Royal Challengers Bengaluru is one of the most unfortunate franchises in the history of the Indian Premier League. The side which has the most loyal fan base over ten million Instagram followers, the best playing kit and the back of top players such as Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and many more in the past. However, they are yet to win a Indian Premier League trophy and have a deliberate habit of choking on the most important moments of the cash-rich league. The franchise was also among the headlines due to their casual approach during the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction.

There cannot be any place in the world where Royal Challengers Bengaluru willn’t have its fans. To cater the Hindi fans and audience, the franchise launched an ‘X’ handle in Hindi with the name ‘Royal Challengers Bengaluru Hindi’. While, it was a feast for RCB fans living in the northern and Hindi belt of India, however, it wasn’t liked by some hard Kannada speaking individuals of Karnataka. They came up with hate comments on the launch of RCB’s Hindi page on ‘X’ and some of them are mentioned below:
Kannada Fans Slam RCB
Better u take off ur franchise to some North States… The one who love our language n our players will take the RCB franchise n build the team..
It's enough, fans adjusted all sorts of ur blunders from all these days bt now this kind of things not necessary..---Advertisement---— Sri (@Charliee_007) November 26, 2024
As a proud Kannadiga and Bengaluru-based RCB fan, it’s disheartening to see our franchise using Hindi in their social media posts. Bengaluru represents Kannada culture and language, and RCB should respect this by prioritizing Kan-Eng in their communication.#stopHindiImposition

#stopHindiImposition What is the link between Bengaluru and Hindi? Is there a Kannada page for Delhi team?

What would happen if this page tweeted in Hindi? Rcb fans are everywhere in India. If someone has problem in reading English, he can at least read it in Hindi.
