RCB Ends 18 Year Drought By Claiming Victory Over Punjab By 6 Runs In An Electrifying Finals

Apart from Virat Kohli’s 43, none of the batters of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru batters could create an impact during the finals. With Mayank Aggarwal (24), Rajat Patidar (25), Liam Livingstone (25), and Jitesh Sharma’s (24) contribution, RCB could reach the total of 190 with a loss of 9 wickets. With the early loss of Phil Salt, Virat Kohli tried to stabilize the innings but eventually lost his wicket to Azmatullah Omarzai.

Punjab bowlers bowled well, with Kyle Jamieson and Arshdeep Singh’s 3 wickets each leading to the stumbling of RCB’s innings. Yuzvendra Chahl, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Vijaykumar Vyshak bagged 1 wicket each, which led to none of the bowlers going wicketless.

Punjab’s openers, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, got to a good start but lost one of Priyansh Arya’s before the end of the powerplay. Apart from Josh Inglis (39), none of the batters could create an impact with the bat. Trouble started raising when captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for just 1 run. Shashank Singh showed intent with the bat after hitting 61 runs. Marcus Stoinis could not make a difference with the bat.
