On Monday during “WWE Raw”, the identity of the mysterious masked assailant who had been assisting The Vision since the Survivor Series: WarGames match at the end of November was finally disclosed. Austin Theory, after giving assistance to Logan Paul in his main event fight against Rey Mysterio, showed himself in the audience.
Masked attacker revealed as Theory in shocking post-PLE attack
After the premium live event on November 29, fans kept speculating who the masked assailant was since he performed the stomp of the injured Seth Rollins. Still in disguise, Theory went on to do the same move to Mysterio on the ring’s edge while Paul Heyman was distracting the ref. Paul was then able to secure victory over the WWE Hall of Famer, while Theory leaped the ring barricade to avoid World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, who had come down with a chair, and ran into the audience before taking off his mask and showing a new, shaved head look.
Heyman denies involvement as Theory speculation grows backstage
During the night, Heyman, who is normally the genius behind everything, was insistent not only to Paul, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and even to “Raw” General Manager Adam Pearce that he was totally clueless about the attacker. In the back, he was speaking to Paul and saying that although he could not pinpoint who it was, he would rather have the support of the likes of Punk, Mysterio, and LA Knight, who the Vision took out “indefinitely,” as per the commentators, last week.
Theory’s name had been in the air for a possible addition to the faction even before the WarGames match, but the fans basically made the speculation about him much stronger when they recognised his physique at Survivor Series when he ran in to help.
