New Delhi: One of the big talking points during India’s Asia Cup opening match against Pakistan was the missing star wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant, from the Playing XI. Dinesh Karthik was picked over Pant for reasons only the team management and captain Rohit Sharma know.

The Pant topic is still fresh in the minds of fans and reporters hence during a press conference Ravindra Jadeja was asked why Pant was left out was it due to the team combination or if there was an injury, to which the India all-rounder came up with a rather quirky reply.

“I have no idea about it. Yeh mere book ke bahar wala question hai (This is an out-of-syllabus question for me).”

India would be looking to seal their place in the Super Four of Asia Cup 2022 when they take on Hong Kong at the Dubai International Stadium tonight. As expected, India starts favorites against a team that hasn’t played much cricket lately.

When asked about the match against Hong Kong Jadeja replied, “Definitely we are going to play with a positive mindset and we are not going to take them lightly because in T20 on a given day anything could happen. So will look to play positive cricket and give our best.”
