New Delhi: India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has reportedly been kicked out of upcoming T20 World Cup due to a sustained knee injury. As per media reports, it has been revealed that Jadeja will not be fit enough to participate in the tournament and thus, will be dropped from the squad.
Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of T20 World Cup
The media organisation Times of India has reported that BCCI is furious about Jadeja sustaining injury and thus, he has been ruled out of T20 World Cup. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja had sustained injury while doing an adventurous activity and had to undergo a knee surgery.
BCCI ‘furious’ on Jadeja getting injured
“We are not happy with Jadeja’s injury. He should have kept the world cup in mind while doing adventurous activities. But he was not responsible and did not think that the World Cup is on the way. We are not happy with this action of Jadeja,” a source had told ANI.
Ravindra Jadeja goes into rehab
India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has undergone a knee surgery and will start his rehab soon. The cricketer was injured mid-tournament and was taken to hospital.
He wrote, “The surgery was successful. There are many people to thank for their support and involvement – BCCI, my teammates, support staff, physios, doctors and the fans. I will start my rehab soon and try to get back to soon as I can. Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes.”

Earlier while commenting on the situation, India head coach Rahul Dravid said, “the World Cup is a fair way away, so we don’t want to jump to any conclusions and rule him out or rule him in. We’ll see how it goes,” he added.
