Virat Kohli’s participation in Delhi’s upcoming Ranji Trophy fixture against Railways on January 30 has generated significant attention. Similarly, much focus is also on his training sessions. Kohli is set to play in the Ranji Trophy after a 12-year gap, making his return the center of excitement.
Virat Kohli Outperforms Delhi Team
The Delhi squad has to catch up, as the report from Indian Express claimed Virat Kohli was in much better physical condition. The Delhi team had its longest practice session over two hours, with the session commencing with a football warm-up followed by an elongated nets session. While other players of Delhi seemed exhausted towards the end, Kohli had no signs of tiredness and wrapped up the session by running around the ground once.

The two-and-a-half hour training session has been described to be the most extensive that this lot of boys had ever endured before a Ranji game, noted the insider from DDCA. Most members of the Delhi squad looked done in after that grueling session, but Kohli was just finishing with a lap, observed the report.
Virat spent an additional hour in the nets, practicing against spinners Harsh Tyagi and Sumit Mathur, pacers Navdeep Saini, Money Grewal, Rahul Gehlot, and Siddhant Sharma. So far, Virat has played 23 Ranji matches with 1,547 runs to his name, out of which he has scored five centuries.
