PV Sindhu withdraws from all BWF Tour events in 2025 due to injury

Sindhu has recently struggled with her form and she has had an underwhelming season overall.

PV Sindhu’s 2025 season has come to an abrupt end as she has opted out of all the events in the remaining year. She is still recovering from the foot injury she sustained before the European leg and the decision is taken in order to ensure full fitness in the next season.

Sindhu released an official statement and mentioned that the decision has been taken after consulting her doctor and all the medial experts.

“After consulting closely with my team and with the guidance of the incredible Dr Pardiwala, we felt it was best for me to withdraw from all remaining BWF Tour events in 2025,” Sindhu said in a statement on Monday.

“The foot injury I sustained before the European leg has not fully recovered, and while it is never easy to accept, injuries are an inseparable part of every athlete’s journey. They test your resilience and patience, but they also spark the fire to come back stronger.”
