Santner to Josh Inglis, FOUR, he is unstoppable.
It’s a straight shootout for a place in the top 2 as Mumbai Indians take on Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. With the Gujarat Titans dropping more points on Sunday, it presented a golden chance to Mumbai or Punjab to finish in the Top 2.
If Mumbai wins, they will be guaranteed a top 2 spot after overtaking GT on net run rate, while Punjab will not finish in the top 2. Meanwhile, if Punjab wins, they’ll go on top of the table as well with 19 points. They can be dethroned from No.1 only if RCB beats Lucknow by a particular margin on Tuesday.
Punjab made it difficult for themselves when they lost to Delhi Capitals in their last match, and they will be going all out against Mumbai to defeat them. It’ll be easier said than done though, with Mumbai in good form, having defeated Delhi Capitals to eliminate them in their previous match.
