PSL Over National Duty! THIS Bangladeshi Cricketer To Miss Zimbabwe Series And Play Pakistan Super League

The cricket matchup between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will take place through two Test matches across April 20 and May 2 dates.

Litton Das will miss the Zimbabwe series and will be seen in the PSL

Bangladesh Cricket Board provided approval through National Olympic Committee permissions to Litton Das and Rishad Hossain for the complete Pakistan Super League season alongside permitting Nahid Rana to participate but only under the condition of a single Test match against Zimbabwe. The Peshawar Zalmi representative Rana declared national duty to be more important than franchise cricket even though he was selected for the team. Both Das (Karachi Kings) and Hossain (Lahore Qalandars) represent their PSL teams while Das will play for Karachi Kings without playing the Zimbabwe Test series.

"Rana will have to play a Test match, while Litton and Rishad have been granted NOCs for the full season," an official from Bangladesh Cricket Board said.

"For me, representing my country always comes first over franchise leagues like the PSL," Rana said at an event in his hometown, Chapainawabganj, on Thursday.

The scheduling conflict emerges because Bangladesh Test cricket begins in mid-April at the same time as the PSL runs from April 8 through May 19. The cricket matchup between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will take place through two Test matches across April 20 and May 2 dates.

PCB's efforts to upgrade PSL

The PCB has announced an additional incentive which is a part of US$1 million special fund that was created to attract elite talent from all around the globe to escalate the league's profile. Among the marquee players who are set to receive an amount from this sum are Australia’s opener David Warner who signed a contract of US$300,000 and New Zealand's Kane Williamson.
