The initiative has gained widespread support from various sports, personalities and fitness influencers who are railing behind the Indian Prime Minister.

Table Tennis star Manika Batra forwarded her support and emphasized on mindful eating. She posted on her social media, “The food we eat shapes our health. MMA champions and Fit India icon Sanram Singh echoed the urgency of prioritizing health and adopting a fit lifestyle by saying, “The most essential thing for the human body is to eat well and stay fit. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted the grassroot momentum and led a significant event at Major Major Dhan Chand Stadium in New Delhi. The initiative was named ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ which saw over 250 doctors demonstrating a collective commitment to combat obesity. Prime Minister Modi‘s call to address obesity was triggered by increasing affect in both the young as well as elder population. The government aims to raise awareness and encourage healthier lifestyles among the people of India.
