Indian hockey legend PR Sreejesh promoted te initiative by writing on X, “Eating well is the first step towards a healthier, happier life. Let’s make Fit Food India a lifestyle, inspired by PM Narendra Modi ji’s commitment to fitness.”

Table Tennis star Manika Batra forwarded her support and emphasized on mindful eating. She posted on her social media, “The food we eat shapes our health. Let’s commit to nutritious choices and make Fit Food India a way of life, contributing to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s mission for a fitter India.”

MMA champions and Fit India icon Sanram Singh echoed the urgency of prioritizing health and adopting a fit lifestyle by saying, “The most essential thing for the human body is to eat well and stay fit. Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged this to everybody, and we must fight against obesity. At the end of life, wealth and luxuries won’t matter—only our body will carry us forward. Let’s make ourselves healthy and take the country ahead,” in a video.

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted the grassroot momentum and led a significant event at Major Major Dhan Chand Stadium in New Delhi. The initiative was named ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ which saw over 250 doctors demonstrating a collective commitment to combat obesity. Prime Minister Modi‘s call to address obesity was triggered by increasing affect in both the young as well as elder population. The government aims to raise awareness and encourage healthier lifestyles among the people of India.
