Ten Hag’s tactics behind signing Mount
In his first season at the club, Erik ten Hag used the 4-3-2-1 in possession, which was quite flexible, but the best period would see the fullbacks invert and number eight joining the attacking midfielder to create a 4-1-4-1. Man United want Mason Mount to create a 3-8 roll alongside Bruno Fernandez and ahead of Casemiro. These techniques will provide great mobility and a high level of technical skills.
Mason Mount’s skills
Mason Mount is a well rounded attacking mid-fielder, with great mobility and he is energetic with a controlled touch. The English midfielder also has an impressive vision and great way of passing.
Mount was Ten Hag’s best target to strengthen the central midfield range of the squad. The Dutchman had presently got his man. Old Trafford will expect Mount to begin with marking this summer ahead of the 2023/24 season.
