Birmingham: Indian wrestlers had an extremely successful campaign in the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 as every players has won a medal in the event.

The bronze medalist in the Women’s Freestyle 50kg category, Pooja Gehlot burst into tears in media attraction. She ‘apologised’ for winning a gold and said that she would try to perform better next time.

“I apologise to my compatriots. I wished that the National Anthem be played here… But I will learn from my mistakes, and work on them,” she said during media conversation.

Motivating and celebrating the achievement of Indian wrestler, Prime Ministers Narendra Modi penned down an emotional message for the 25-years-old.

PM Modi wrote, “Pooja, your medal calls for celebrations, not an apology. Your life journey motivates us, your success gladdens us. You are destined for great things ahead…keep shining!”

India has won 40 medals so far that includes 13 gold medals. In wrestling alone, Indian grabbed 12 medals.
