The team’s victory became more impressive because Jasprit Bumrah stood as India’s leading pacer yet he couldn’t participate due to his back stress injury. India maintained competition dominance while Bumrah was absent through outstanding bowling performances from the entire squad. The Indian bowling attack won both ICC titles in succession following their victory. Bumrah met his followers on social media to share his appreciation and said they had performed powerfully throughout the tournament. He watched the tournament from afar even though he had visited Dubai ahead of time for the India-Pakistan match.

Through social media Jasprit Bumrah expressed massive praise to the India cricket team after their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory by praising their battling spirit and unwavering determination. “Played like true champions! Congratulations to the entire team on a wonderful tournament and a well-deserved win!” Bumrah wrote in his post. His strong role during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy ended prematurely because of a back stress injury he sustained when playing in the last Test of Sydney. Mohammad Shami’s back stress injury resulted in doubt about his comeback because the selectors picked him for the ODI matches with England but he needed to pull out because recovery took longer than expected.
Bumrah Focuses On IPL 2025 Comeback
Initial belief pointed toward Bumrah returning to fitness before the ICC Champions Trophy except the healing process lasted longer than predicted and denied him from playing in the tournament. Bumrah provided his support to India’s title victory without playing while attending the India-Pakistan match in Dubai. The fast-bowling all-rounder is changing priority from his treatment directly to competitive cricket return by practising bowling in the nets ahead of IPL 2025. The fans maintain high anticipation for his return to competitive play since his recovery shows promising results.
