He achieved this feat in a crucial clash against the Punjab Kings at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur. The winner of this match will end up in the second spot on the points table and will make way for the qualifiers.
This result broke Sachin Tendulkar’s mark of 618 runs from 2010, which has not been equaled for 15 years. In 2023, he was also among MI’s top three run-scorers, making him the sole MI batter apart from Sachin Tendulkar to accomplish this twice in the IPL career.
