Following a less-than-ideal start for Indian shooters at the Paris Olympics, Manu Bhaker secured third place with an overall score of 580 and 27 inner 10s, qualifying for the women’s 10m Air Pistol final on Saturday.

The Indian shooter scored 580 points and recorded 27 inner 10s from 60 shots in the qualification round, securing third place. Her fellow countrywoman, Rhythm Sangwan, did not advance, finishing in 15th place.
Earlier, Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema showed some strong performances but did not qualify for the men’s 10m air pistol final. Sarabjot placed ninth with a score of 577, while Arjun finished 18th with a total of 574.
In the 10m air rifle mixed team qualifications, Indian shooters were eliminated. Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta finished sixth with a combined score of 628.7, while Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh ended up 12th with a total of 626.3. Ramita and Babuta were close to making the medal round, ranking fifth with three shots left, but fell 1.0 point short of the cut-off.
