On Day 9 of the Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian hockey team excelled and reached the semi-finals. However, top contenders Lakshya Sen and Lovlina Borgohain lost their matches. India will compete in various sports on Day 10 to continue its efforts in the Games.

Today, everyone will focus on the badminton event where Lakshya Sen will compete for the bronze medal. He will face Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia at 6 pm. If Lakshya wins, he will secure India’s fourth medal.

  • Men’s Dinghy Race 9 (Opening Series) at 6:10 PM
  • Men’s Dinghy Race 10 (Opening Series) at 7:15 PM

Athletics:

  • Women’s 400m (First Round): Kiran Pahal in heat five at 3:57 PM
  • Men’s 3,000m Steeplechase (First Round): Avinash Sable in heat two at 10:50 PM

Badminton:

  • Men’s Singles (Bronze Medal Playoff): Lakshya Sen vs Lee Zii Jia (Malaysia) at 6:00 PM

On the 9th day of the Paris Olympics (July 4), India did not win any medals. However, it was a mixed day for India. The Indian hockey team, led by captain Harmanpreet Singh, had a spectacular win and advanced to the semi-finals.
