On the 9th day of the Paris Olympics (July 4), India did not win any medals. However, it was a mixed day for India. The Indian hockey team, led by captain Harmanpreet Singh, had a spectacular win and advanced to the semi-finals.
Even though the hockey team was down to 10 players, they beat Britain in a penalty shootout to reach the Paris Olympics semi-finals. In badminton, Lakshya Sen lost in the semi-finals, and Lovlina Borgohain’s defeat ended India’s boxing campaign.
