PAK Vs ENG First Test, Day 2: England starts confidently with innings after Pakistan’s exertion of 556: Visitors suffer an early jolt as the opener Ben Duckett comes out with a thumb injury, and captain Ollie Pope joins Zak Crawley. Unfortunately, Pope walks back on the same ball, thanks to a stunning catch by Aamer Jamal at midwicket.

However, Crawley and Joe Root steadied the ship with calm runs as this pitch has been more than wonderful, giving very little trouble to the batsmen. After a grueling spell from Pakistani bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah who had real probing new-ball overs, Crawley and Root neutralized the seamers brightly. However, Crawley has come hard at Abrar Ahmed every time in short spells he has faced him and that makes for an interesting contest on Day 3.
Aamer Jamal on the match. “Well, I try to keep myself ready for every ball. Expect each one to come to me. Bowling stump to stump because the wicket is low and slow. The more we stick to this line, the better our chances of taking wickets”.
With so much cricket left to be played, Day 3 is going to be of utter importance to both teams as they continue to vie for supremacy in this Test.
Brief Scores: Pakistan 556 All-Out (Shan Masood 151, Abdullah Shafique 102; Brydon Carse 2-74) vs England 96/1 (Zak Crawley 64*, Joe Root 32*).
