Bowling Attack Rattles England
Pakistan did not have any apprehension and returned to the field with renewed vigor, breaking down the English top order within no time. Duckett did not see it coming, Crawley fell foul to a slider that was slightly above his crop, and Pope was troubled time and again by his low-handed technique.
Joe Root Finds Himself Under Pressure
Now all eyes would be on Joe Root as the task ahead involves taking his teammates out of a knotty situation. England is still 53 runs short and will still have 7 wickets in hand, while tomorrow’s play is going to be quite critical.
If early wickets fall to Pakistan, they would run through the English batting lineup pretty quickly so that it sets the scene for an exciting finish.
Brief Scores: England 267 (Jamie Smith 89, Gus Atkinson 39; Sajid Khan 6-128, Noman Ali 3-88) vs Pakistan 344 (Saud Shakeel 134, Noman Ali 45; Rehan Ahmed 4-66, Shoaib Bashir 3-129), England 24/3 (Ben Duckett 12) trail by 53 runs.
