Indian captain ODI Rohit Sharma showed all his support to armed forces of the country and appealed to citizens to remain calm and responsible in the midst of an increasing tension bordering on war with Pakistan. Taking X (previously Twitter), Rohit thanked the military for his decisive response under Operation Sindoor to wreck terrorist fields in Pakistan and Kashmir seized by Pakistan following the terrorist attack of April 22 that claimed 26 lives in Pahalgam.

“I salute our brave armed forces for their courage and commitment. At a time when the nation is on edge, they continue to stand tall for us all. Let us support them by remaining calm and following all safety advisories,” Rohit wrote.

India-Pakistan Tension
Following the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, there was a clear walk between India and Pakistan who used the exchange of fire all along the control line and completely abandon diplomacy relation. India declared May 6 the beginning of “Operation Sindoor” against nine Pakistani and Indian targets- Jammu and Kashmir allegedly being used to plan the attacks. The momentum has in turn increased the risks of a massive military adventure of the two nuclear powers, the biggest bilateral standoff since 2019.
