Batting first, the Indian team had scored 168 runs, chasing the target, England batted vigorously and won by 10 wickets in just 16 overs. Captain Rohit told Harsha Bhogle in the match presentation, “I am very disappointed with what happened today. We batted well at the back end to get that score. Rohit said, we were not right with the ball.”
‘Couldn’t handle the pressure of knockouts, says Sharma
Rohit gave a big reason for not handling the pressure in the knockout matches. “It’s about not being able to handle the pressure in the knockout matches. All cricketers have faced pressure before. These guys have played under pressure in IPL matches, it’s all about staying calm in this situation.

He further said, “I felt there was a little swing in the first over, but it did not happen in the right areas. We know that runs are the square of the wicket. When we won the first game, we showed a lot of character. The match against Bangladesh was very difficult. I felt that we were holding our own and kept executing our plans.
