On 19th December 2020, Team India registered their lowest-ever team total in test history. In the iconic Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21, In the second innings, Australia decimated India for a shameful 36 runs.
The then-skipper, Virat Kohli elected to bat first in a D/N Test match at Adelaide. India posted 244 runs in the first innings. Kohli was the highest scorer in that inning. He scored a well-maintained 72.
However, tables turned when batters failed in the second innings.

The pack of trio-pacers of Australia (Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, & Josh Hazlewood) thrashed the stromg Indian batting line-up.
Australia had to chase 90 runs to take an early lead in the four-match Test series. Australia lost two wickets but Joe Burns sealed the deal with a brilliant half-century. He stayed unbeaten at 51 while his opening partner Matthew Wade struck 33 runs.
Australia took only 21 overs to reach the target as the match finished on Day 3.
