Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem are set to battle it out against one another again, this time in the Silesia Diamond League of Poland on August 16. The two will be facing each other for the first time since their nail-biting javelin final at the Paris Olympics 2024, when Nadeem had won the gold medal with a staggering 92.97 meters and Neeraj finished with silver. This Silesia, Poland event is going to be a top draw.

Fans are looking forward to watching the Olympic champion Nadeem take on the World Champion Neeraj. It's also an ideal opportunity for Neeraj to get revenge for his loss at the Olympics. The match will be significant for both athletes as well, since they are using this tournament as preparation for the World Championships to be held in Tokyo in September.

Neeraj Vs Arshad In 2025

Neeraj Chopra has been practicing exceptionally hard post-Olympics. Recently, he shattered the 90-meter barrier and took the Paris Diamond League title. He also topped the position at Neeraj Chopra Classic last month. For further improvement, Neeraj began training under the guidance of javelin legend Jan Zelezny. Since then, Neeraj's show has been consistent in terms of improvement.

In contrast to Neeraj, Arshad Nadeem has only competed in a handful of events so far this year. Following his Olympic gold, he only competed in one major meet—the Asian Championships in Gumi, South Korea, on May 31, where he threw 86.40 meters to claim gold.
