Since it began in 2008, IPL has helped franchise cricket become much bigger and better. Besides making the cricket exciting, the league has given a few teams a chance to perform well regularly and reach the playoffs. We will now see which team has qualified for the playoffs the most.

Chennai Super Kings (12 Times)
CSK has built a reputation for always performing well in IPL. The team has made the playoffs every other year since 2008. From among all these tournaments, they qualified for the finals 10 times and emerged victorious five times. Even after being suspended for two years, CSK appeared in the tournament and made its mark. No matter who their captain is, the team has always delivered as expected.
Mumbai Indians (11 Times)
Starting in the first season, Mumbai Indians have stood out and reached the playoffs on 11 separate occasions. The team lifted the trophy in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 under Skipper Rohit Sharma. Today, the Mumbai Indians with Hardik Pandya as their captain aim to win their sixth trophy.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (10 Times)
Making the playoffs 10 times in its history is a huge feat for RCB. Even though the team was in three finals, they never became champions. Runners-up was all it was for them in 2009, 2011 and 2016. Still, even though they have reached the playoffs several times to 2024, they are yet to win the title.
Kolkata Knight Riders (8 Times)
The team has proven itself by qualifying for the playoffs in eight seasons. They managed to play in the finals four times and won the title twice. Under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir in 2012 and 2014, the team received special recognition. In 2024, Shreyas Iyer led them to victory in the tournament for the third time.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (7 Times)
In the Final Sunrisers Hyderabad has taken part in the playoffs in seven of the nine seasons since they entered the IPL in 2013. In 2013, the team began in fourth place and the following year, they took home the trophy under Warner as captain. After that, for four straight seasons, they qualified for the playoffs or advanced further. In the face of tough years in 2021 and 2023, SRH once again proved its worth by playing in the final match in 2024.
