Ranji Trophy: Team India’s star batter KL Rahul may soon be seen playing in the Ranji Trophy. Before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, many players of Team India are showing their flair in the Ranji Trophy. After Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rishabh Pant, Rahul’s name has also been included in this list.
KL Rahul may play for Karnataka in the last group stage match of the Ranji Trophy. This match will be played against Haryana at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from January 30. The President of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has confirmed this.

Will play Ranji match for Karnataka
According to a report in the Times of India, KL Rahul is ready to make a comeback in the Ranji Trophy. He will be seen playing for Karnataka in the match against Haryana at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from January 30. Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) President Raghuram Bhat has confirmed this. He said, “I am not in Bangalore right now. But according to the information I have received, KL Rahul will be available for this important match.”
KL Rahul’s impressive Ranji Trophy record
KL Rahul has performed brilliantly for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy. In the 2013-14 season, he scored 1033 runs with three centuries and three half-centuries. He was also awarded “Man of the Match” that season. Apart from this, in the 2014-15 season, Rahul scored 337 runs against Uttar Pradesh, which was the first triple-century in first-class cricket for Karnataka. During his career in first-class cricket, Rahul has played 103 matches, in which he has scored 7262 runs, which includes 18 centuries and 36 half-centuries.

Apart from KL Rahul, many other star players will also take part in the next phase of the Ranji Trophy. Mohammad Siraj is also ready to play in the Ranji Trophy for Hyderabad. Apart from this, Virat Kohli will return to first-class cricket after 12 years and Ravindra Jadeja has become fit to play for the Saurashtra team against Assam. Riyan Parag will also return to this match after recovering from injury. He last played during the T20 series against Bangladesh in October last year.
Let us tell you that KL Rahul has been included in the Indian squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 as well as the ODI series against England. The three-match ODI series between India and England will start from February 6. This series is considered important for the preparations of the Indian team before the Champions Trophy.
