If you thought MMA fighter and boxer Conor McGregor’s violent punches are only restricted to the ring then you are highly mistaken. A Dublin jury found McGregor guilty of assaulting a woman named Nikita Hand in Dublin in 2018, because of this McGregor was ordered to pay $259,149.36 as damages. The decorated boxer’s heavy blow outside of it have been controversial these days.

“I know I made mistakes. six years ago, I should have never responded to her outreaches. that’s on me. As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision.” McGregor said to appeal the decision.

Since he sustained an injury, McGregor hasn’t competed in a professional match for 3 years so the only punches McGregor is managing to execute are clearly outside the ring. But will he be able to make a comeback if he continues to land himself in trouble? the latest is a long list of offences that came to light just a few days ago. It’s not about the money here. what is at stake here is McGregor’s reputation that he has built over the years and more importantly that of the MMA. He made the sport global; became an icon and now he is in the middle of this chaos. There is probably a reason why he still has some people in his corner despite being dragged into this stormy affair. Ofcourse, it doesn’t help that the list of people backing McGregor also includes Andrew Tate who himself is facing legal issues including cases of human trafficking and rape. McGregor’s fiancé, Dee Devlin has accused the victim, Nikita of building a false case and tarnishing the fighter’s image. Devin also pointed to see CCTV image of the evidence claiming its support for McGregor’s innocence.
