“I have made peace with it”
says England’s most successful Bowler James Anderson when he was asked about how he reflects about the decision that England made him to retire effectively from Test Cricket. But now it looks like James Anderson has got a lot left in him, retiring from test internationals this year Anderson aspires to make an exciting comeback in IPL 2025 with a base price of 1.25 crores.
Anderson is England’s highest wicket taker in both ODI and Test cricket format. In 194 matches, the legendary Seamer bagged 269 wickets at a decent bowling average of 29.22. he still feels he has a lot to bring to the table. such a transition from test to T20 can be a treat to the eyes. It’s been 10 years since he played his last T20. just after a few days of releasing his autobiography ‘finding the edge’ on 7 November 2024, which has some really interesting aspects of his career, By giving this news to his fans it shows he has a lot left within him.
But the questions still remains that why has he registered himself for IPL Auction 2025? the 42 year old, has been the oldest player in the 2025 auction list. the 4-times ashes winning veteran, played more test than anyone else for England and second only to Tendulkar of all cricketers the list goes on and on and on. he is all set to make his inaugural appearance in 2025 IPL. Of the 574 players, 366 are Indian, and 208 are from overseas, 12 uncapped players 318 uncapped Indian players.
Though he is not sure if he will get picked but he says he can still play. it would be interesting to watch how to GOAT would perform if he gets picked.
