New Delhi: The first semi-final of T20 World Cup 2022 is being played between New Zealand and Pakistan. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat first. After 20 overs, New Zealand scored 152 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Pakistan needs to score 153 runs to win.
NZ openers did not work
Finn Allen, Glenn Phillips could not do much for New Zealand. After the dismissal of these two, captain Kane Williamson took over the innings. He played an important innings of 46 runs off 42 balls. However, when he started opening his hands, Shaheen Afridi showed him the way to the pavilion.
MISSED! Babar Azam dropped
On the fourth ball of the first over, Babar Azam flashes hard and the outside edge carries low to the right of the keeper where Conway fails to cling on (one-handed) the ball despite the dive. Conway was a tad late in moving to his right and because his initial movement was to the left, he just couldn’t get into proper shape on the dive.
