India and Australia are playing against each other in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Aussies ended their first innings at a score of 474 runs wherein Steve Smith played an innings of 140 runs and registered his 34th ton in Test cricket. The Indian management made a change in the opening pair as Rohit Sharma walked in bat with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rohit’s performance in the series has been below average and the latter has struggled to find a rhythm. The Indian skipper played in the middle order and seeing his struggle came back to open. The IND vs AUS 4th Test has been dominated by the Australian team as of now as no other Indian bowler other than Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja could leave an impact. The duo picked up eight wickets between each other. However, apart from Steve Smith, Australian batters including Sam Konstas, Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne ended up achieving fifty plus scores. The pair of Steve Smith and Pat Cummins began the Day 2 with an aggressive mind set and took on the Indian bowlers. Both added 113 runs for the seventh wicket. In the end, after lunch, Australia lost three wickets quickly and the innings ended up 474.
