New Delhi: Neeraj Chopra won the historic Diamond League trophy for his country and added another feather in the already illustrious cap. With the throw of 88.4m, Chopra won the Indians first ever Diamond League trophy. 

After receiving the wishes from all over the world, Chopra thanked everyone for the supports.

He wrote on Twitter, “Incredible feeling to close the 2022 season as Diamond Trophy winner. The atmosphere was brilliant and it was extra special to have my uncle and friends in the stadium. Happy to win my first  trophy!”

“Sabhi ke pyaar aur support ke liye bahut bahut dhanyawad,” he concluded.

Neeraj Chopra missed Commonwealth Games 2022

Chopra had suffered injury last month that led him to withdraw from the Commonwealth Games 2022 but his comeback has made the nation proud once again. 

With the best throw of 88.4m, the 24-year-old lay his hands on the historic trophy of Diamond League. With this achievement, Neeraj has become the first Indian to bring home the prestigious trophy.
