Former Indian and CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a fan favourite this year in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). Wherever Thala goes, the fans follow as this might be his final season in the cash-rich league. However, MS Dhoni’s former teammate Suresh Raina doesn’t think so and gave a shocking reply when asked about MSD’s last dance.

During commentary duty with JioCinema, former CSK star Suresh Raina was asked if MS Dhoni would participate in the IPL 2025 season after his impressive displays in the current campaign. Responding to the question, Raina, along with RP Singh, indicated that it didn’t appear to be Dhoni’s final IPL season.
“It doesn’t seem like this will be his last season,” said Singh.
Suresh Raina’s One Word Answer For Thala
When Singh directed the question to Raina for his opinion, Raina simply replied with one word, affirming that Dhoni would indeed play in the next IPL season.
“Khelenge (Will play),” said Raina.
This season, Dhoni has exhibited no signs of slowing down, contributing some impactful performances for CSK. He handed over the captaincy reins to Ruturaj Gaikwad at the start of the season. Throughout the tournament, Dhoni has showcased a blend of tactical acumen and explosive batting.
Dhoni’s best performance this season came against the Mumbai Indians at the iconic Wankhede Stadium where he showcased his match-finishing prowess by smashing three consecutive sixes off Hardik Pandya, scoring 20 runs off just 4 balls, which significantly bolstered CSK’s total.
