The incident has motivated both the relatives of casualties and national public opinion to demand prompt closure of terror cases and enhanced counterterrorism protocols. Sanchez served at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag when he met patients who survived the Pahalgam terror attack that killed multiple people and left numerous victims wounded.

Upon helicopter arrival the Union Minister conducted an air inspection of the area before landing at the site. High-security standards surrounded Amit Shah while he moved through the area before local officials informed him about current regional conditions and operational activities.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) joined forces with Jammu and Kashmir Police at the site through one of its teams to investigate the deadliest civilian assault in the area recorded in twenty years.

The deputy inspector general of the NIA team visited Baisaran one day after terrorists assassinated a group of tourists at the scenic meadow which lies near Pahalgam town in Anantnag district of Kashmir. ANI received information from official sources indicating that National Investigation Agency members will support Jammu and Kashmir Police during their investigative process.
