On Sunday Mitchell Starc created Delhi Capitals’ first five-wicket haul from their speed bowling ranks within the franchise history. In a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Visakhapatnam Mitchell Starc achieved five wickets by giving away only 35 runs during his destructive bowling performance.

The 5 for 35 figures Starc produced rank as the second-best bowling record in Delhi Capitals history although this achievement remained the inaugural five-wicket haul for their pace bowlers. Spinner Amit Mishra stands as the leader after his achievement of 5 wickets for 17 runs during the match against Deccan Chargers in 2008.
At the age of 29 he managed to set his record for best IPL figures by going beyond his previous high of 4/15 which he achieved during the 2015 season.
