Jasprit Bumrah has earlier led the Indian team on a three-match Ireland tour and one Test match against England. The Indian team ended up winning the T20I series whereas were close to win the only Test match against England in 2022. On the other hand, the Indian team has won the previous four editions of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
