The Thor hammer is named Mjølnir and only a ‘worthy’ can hold it. It is a powerful enchanted war-hammer forged by the Giant Dwarves for the Asgardian Royal Family, and was used by Odin before he passed it down to Hela and then Thor.
Odin cursed the hammer with a spell which says, “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.”
