People have many speculations regarding the return for Indian star pacer Mohammad Shami for the fourth Test match against Australia in Melbourne. But it appears that now Shami could not be seen for the Test Series against Australia. He will also be rested for the opening match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Delhi on 21st December. In the post match press conference on Wednesday, Captain Rohit Sharma said in an interview,
“I understand he’s playing a lot of cricket back home, but there have been some complaints about his knee as well. So, look, the last thing you want is the player coming here and then pulling out in the middle of the game. You know what happens when that kind of thing happens.”
“So, there is no way we want to take that chance unless we are like, not 100%, 200% sure, we’re not going to take any risk. But yeah, like I said in the last press conference, the door is open if those guys at the NCA feel that he is okay to go and recover and play, we’ll be happy to have him.” He added.
The experienced pace bowler, known for his exceptional seam position and ability to extract movement off the pitch, has been a key figure in India’s bowling arsenal. His recovery timeline remains under close monitoring by the medical team, leaving fans anxiously awaiting his return.
